MANILA – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed Roberto Lim as the new Undersecretary for Aviation and Airports of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

In a Facebook post on Monday, the DOTr said Lim took his oath of office before DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista on Friday.

“Usec. Roberto Cecilio Lim is the former country head of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and former vice chairman of the Air Carriers Association of the Philippines,” it said.

Lim previously served in the same office until 2017 under the administration of former president Rodrigo Duterte and former DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade before he resigned.

He said his resignation was not the result of any issues with Tugade and was in “the interest of the department.” (PNA)
