High-value drug suspect yields P1.2-M shabu in NegOr town

DUMAGUETE CITY – Police arrested a "high-value individual" who yielded PHP1.224 million suspected shabu during a buy-bust in Valencia, Negros Oriental Friday night.

A Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) report on Saturday identified the suspect as Don Emilio Cordova Cariño, 35, of Barangay Batinguel here.

The police operation in Sitio Ogahong, Barangay Palinpinon, Valencia resulted in the seizure of seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu granules weighing more or less 180 grams.

The suspect will be charged with the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (PNA)
