CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY –  The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has listed 5,000 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) who are moving on from the program, an official said Wednesday.

In a statement, DSWD-10 4Ps focal person Oliver Inodeo said the figures are equivalent to about 120 families and will be given a formal recognition on Thursday, Oct.19.

"4Ps National Program Manager, Gemma Gabuya will turn over to DSWD-10 Director Ramel Jamen the case folders of those who will exit and graduate from the program this year," he said.

Inodeo said those who "exited" are families who have shown improvement in their living, while those who "graduated" are families that no longer have dependents below 18 years old.

He said the rules are governed by Republic Act 11310 or the 4Ps Act.

4Ps is a human development measure of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and education of children aged 0-18. (PNA)
