MANILA – International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Level 3 coach Mohammad Atoum of Jordan will conduct a training camp at the Ateneo Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City from Oct. 22 to 31.

The camp scheduled from 8-11 a.m. and 2-5 p.m. will be participated by members of the Ateneo varsity men's and women's teams, national team mainstays John Russell Misal, Sheryl Otañes, Keizhebien Ablaza and two junior players.

Ting Ledesma, president of the Philippine Table Tennis Federation Inc., said he wrote the ITTF asking for a coach who can conduct a high-level training camp.

"We are grateful to the ITTF for granting our request. Our players will definitely learn a lot from attending the camp," Ledesma said in an interview on Thursday.

He said Atoum is scheduled to arrive on Friday.

He played for the national team in the 1990s and became its head coach.
