DUMAGUETE CITY – Police operatives in this capital city of Negros Oriental province have confiscated more than PHP8 million worth of suspected shabu in various operations conducted from January to November this year.

The accomplishments are contained in a report submitted by Lt. Col. Joeson Parallag, city police chief, during the regular meeting of the City Peace and Order Council on Monday afternoon, a copy of which the Philippine News Agency obtained Tuesday.

The report showed that the PHP8.2 million shabu seized during the period had an aggregate total weight of some 1,215 grams.

The month of October logged the highest confiscation at more than PHP3.2 million, followed by the seizure of shabu in July amounting to more than PHP2.1 million.

The rest of the months yielded less than PHP1 million in shabu confiscation.

Meanwhile, a total of 58 persons was arrested in 54 anti-illegal drug operations since the start of the year.

Four of them were “high-value individuals” in the police’s list of suspected drug personalities. (PNA)
