MANILA – A total of 40 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) who are members of Hugpong Sa Nagkahiusang Mag-uuma (HUSANAMA) in San Remigio town, Cebu province have received a four-wheeled drive farm tractor worth PHP1.26 million from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Wilfredo Ruedas, HUSANAMA president, thanked the DAR for providing them with the 35-horsepower tractor, saying: “This would be a great help to improve our vegetable production.”

Grace Fua, Cebu Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, encouraged the ARBs to fully utilize the tractor to increase the organization’s farm production as well as the income of its members.

She also reminded the group members to provide a secure place for safe keeping and maintenance of the facility.

Fua disclosed that under the CRFPSP, the HUSANAMA members were also provided with seeds and fertilizers for their vegetable production.
