URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has confiscated PHP1.3 million worth of suspected shabu from two high-value targets here.

In an interview on Wednesday, PDEA Pangasinan provincial head Rechie Camacho said some 200 grams of suspected shabu were seized Tuesday from the suspects identified as Michael John Tizon and John Carlo Sañez, both from Sto. Tomas Bukid, Pasig City.

“Our informant has a contact inside the New Bilibid Prison who arranged the transaction. The two suspects picked up the illegal drugs and brought them here in Pangasinan,” he said.

Camacho said the two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation with the Philippine National Police at a bypass road in Barangay Nancayasan in this city.

“The suspects are now under our custody and cases were filed against them while a thorough investigation will be conducted against the inmate in the New Bilibid Prison who was able to transact (an) illegal drug deal,” he added.

PDEA-Pangasinan has already seized PHP2.7 billion worth of shabu and marijuana in their operations from January to Nov. 15 this year. (PNA)
