Chery Tiggo, F2 Logistics prevail in PVL All Filipino Conference

MANILA – Chery Tiggo pulled off a 27-25, 25-19, 25-22 victory over Cignal to join Creamline, Choco Mucho, and F2 Logistics in the lead of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Tuesday night.

Outside hitter Ma. Shaya Adorador delivered 16 points and 11 excellent digs for the Crossovers, while captain Mylene Paat and outside hitter Ennajie Laure scored 15 and 13 points, respectively. Ria Beatriz Duremdes produced 15 excellent digs and Alina Bicar made two service aces and 14 excellent sets.

Outside hitter Frances Xinia Molina was the best scorer for the HD Spikers with 16 attacks. Middle blocker Marivic Velaine Meneses had 11 points, Toni Rose Basas scored six points, including three blocks, while skipper Rachel Anne Daquis added six points.

In the other game, F2 Logistics outplayed PLDT Home Fibr, 25-22, 25-21, 14-25, 20-25, 16-14. Outside hitter Myla Pablo had 20 attacks and one service ace for the Cargo Movers, who also got 17 points from Kim Dy.

Skipper Abigail Marano contributed 11 points, including three blocks, while Dawn Nicole Macandili made 35 excellent digs and 10 receptions.

Jovielyn Prado led the High Speed Hitters with 17 points, 15 on attacks. Dell Palomata had 11 attacks, three blocks, and two service aces, while captain Mika Reyes scored 15 points, including four blocks. Kathleen Faith Arado had 31 excellent digs and Rhea Katrina Dimaculangan made 19 excellent sets.

“It felt like a championship but yeah, it was a good game,” F2 Logistics head coach Regine Diego said after the match that lasted two hours and 31 minutes.

“We saw what we need to train more, where we failed, and where we’re good at so that in the next game, we can adjust,” she added.

Meanwhile, Creamline eyes its second consecutive victory against Cignal at the FilOil EcoOil Center in San Juan City at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
