MANILA – The Manila Water Philippine Ventures, Inc. (MWPV) on Monday signed a 25-year partnership with Damosa Land Inc. (DLI) to develop and manage additional water facilities for Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE) in Panabo, Davao del Norte.

MWPV, a business unit under the Manila Water Company (Manila Water), will invest at least PHP150 million for the development, financing, construction, operation and management of the water system of the 63-hectare property.

The partnership between MWPV and DLI brings in additional water facilities to be integrated into the existing system to meet the projected demand of 2.6 million liters of water per day.

AIE services a variety of industries such as food processing, plastic packaging manufacturing, paper packaging assembly and warehousing.

“As we look for opportunities to expand our services beyond the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal province, we look towards the growth in the Visayas and Mindanao regions where active developers like Damosa Land, together with their visionary president, Mr. Cary Lagdameo, share a common vision of ensuring water security and availability to all Filipinos,” Roberto Jose Locsin, Manila Water chief operating officer for international businesses and chief administrative officer, said in a statement.

“It would be a great honor and privilege for us in Manila Water to fulfill this vision whether through serving them via industrial opportunities like the Damosa Land industrial estate or through future opportunities within the Davao region where we can share our experience and expertise in water and wastewater management to the people of Mindanao,” he added.

DLI is a premier real estate and agro-industrial developer in Davao, the property development arm of the Anflocor Group, which has been at the forefront of development in Mindanao.

“Damosa Land recognizes the importance of having a reliable water supply system for our locators to ensure efficient day-to-day business operations over a long period of time. Our partnership with the MWPV helps us further accelerate our sustainable operations at the Anflo Industrial Estate and upraise the industrial segment of Davao for our current and future locators,” DLI president Ricardo “Cary” Lagdameo said in a statement.
