MANILA – An all-Filipino Rain Or Shine squad bucked the absence of import Greg Smith and stunned Terrafirma, 120-118, in their PBA Governors' Cup meeting on Thursday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Smith was barred from playing at the last minute as he has yet to secure a clearance from FIBA for him to play for the Elasto Painters.

However, Andrei Caracut, Santi Santillan and Gabe Norwood made up for Smith's absence by putting up impressive outings.

Caracut finished with a career-high 25 points alongside two rebounds and three assists, while Santillan added 21 points including the game-winning layup with 0.7 seconds left, six rebounds and two assists as ROS tied its victim in the team standings at 2-4.

Norwood chipped in 18 points, his best offensive output in three years, with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Williams made 30 points, 27 in the second half, 16 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks for Terrafirma, but he air-balled a tough three-point buzzer-beater that could have handed the team the win.

Juami Tiongson added 23 points, one assist, and one block. (PNA)
