MANILA – A high-value drug suspect yielded PHP6.8 million worth of shabu in an operation in Taguig City, Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft said on Thursday.

In a statement, Kraft identified the suspect as Jun Mark “Boy” Salonga, 43, a resident of Pateros, was arrested by the operatives of SPD-Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) during a buy-bust operation around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at Arca South Compound, Taguig City.

The suspect yielded two self-sealing transparent plastic packs containing shabu, weighing approximately one kilogram.

Authorities also confiscated buy-bust money composed of one genuine PHP1,000 on top of 399 pieces of PHP1,000 boodle money and a brown paper bag.

Kraft said they will file charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against Salonga, who is currently detained at the SPD District DEU Office. (PNA)
