MANILA – FIDE Master Robert Suelo Jr. will hold a simultaneous chess exhibition at SM Dagupan Event Center in Pangasinan on May 21.
Suelo was the 1996 national junior champion and former top player of the Rizal Technological University - Mandaluyong City varsity team.
National Masters Gefer Imbuido and Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr. will join Suelo in the event organized by San Fabian Chess Club president Reddy Ceralde Balarbar and the Pangasinan Association of Chess Executives and Retirees.
"It's an honor to be invited in this kind of rare simultaneous chess exhibition. Hopefully, I can share my knowledge with the residents of Pangasinan, especially the youth," Suelo said in an interview on Tuesday.
Students are eager to meet and even play against Suelo, according to Balarbar.

The 3rd Pangasinan Invitational Executive Chess Cup FIDE 2200 and below rapid tournament will be held after the simultaneous exhibition.
