Keon thanked and congratulated all the awardees for “being a part of the city’s growing businesses and for being prompt in paying and timely in the payment of their business taxes every year.”

The mayor expressed hope that other businesses would follow the same so they can also avoid the penalties from the city government.

“We are happy that we are still able to help our beloved city provide better public goods and services by being a huge part of its main lifeblood. And even though the pandemic has affected our business revenues, we would still like to thank all our customers, supporters, patrons, employees, and other stakeholders for the continuous and never-ending support through the years,” said Hanson Chua, one of the consistent top taxpayers to the city.
