LEGAZPI CITY – The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO5) has arrested 150 wanted persons, including three under the Most Wanted list for rape cases, during simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operations over the weekend.
Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, PRO5 spokesperson on Sunday said Masbate and Camarines Sur police topped the apprehensions with 32 offenders each, while Albay and Sorsogon nabbed 30 each.
One of the apprehended criminals, identified as Ricky Joe Barrogo of Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte, is facing charges for five counts of rape.
He is the region’s No. 7 most wanted criminal.
Ronald Jalmasco of Sorsogon City, tagged as Bicol's No. 8, is facing three counts of rape.
Wilson Bellen, also included in the top 10 most wanted, is facing multiple charges, including three counts of rape and acts of lasciviousness.
"PRO5 remains unwavering in its mission to conduct aggressive police operations against wanted persons, aiming not only to provide justice to the victims but also to sustain the gains that contribute to improving economic growth within the community," Calubaquib said. (PNA)
