11 PNP officials get new assignments in latest reshuffle

MANILA  Eleven ranking officials have been included in the latest reorganization of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Based on PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr.'s order that took effect Tuesday, Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft was named acting director of the Caraga regional police office.

Kraft replaced Brig. Pablo Labra II, who was reassigned to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management.

Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano, deputy chief for administration of the Caraga regional police office, was named acting SPD director.

Northern Police District (NPD) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. was designated as acting chief of the Legislative Affairs Center of the PNP Directorate for Plans, replacing Brig. Gen. Nicolas Salvador, who was designated as PNP deputy director for plans.

Special Action Force (SAF) deputy director Brig. Gen. Rizalito Gapas was designated acting NPD director, replacing Peñones, while SAF chief of staff Col. Manuel Abrugena was named the SAF deputy director.

Other officials who were assigned to new posts are Colonels Frankie Candelario, Jason Capoy, Jun Mark Lagare, Cresenciano Landicho, Rex Arvin Malimban and Eleazar Matta.

Candelario was reassigned to the PNP Intelligence Group (from the Northern Mindanao regional police office), while Capoy was sent to the PNP Academy (from the Police Security and Protection Group).

Lagare was detailed at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (from the Intelligence Group); Landicho was assigned to the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (from PHAU); Malimbam to SAF (from the PNP Academy); and Matta to Caraga regional police office (from the Information Technology Management Service).
