MANILA – Twelve domestic flights have been canceled as of Wednesday afternoon due to inclement weather brought by Super Typhoon Goring (Saola) and the southwest monsoon, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.

These flights are:
-- Cebu Pacific (5J) 404/405 Manila-Laoag-Manila
-- 5J 504/505 Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila
-- 5J 506/507 Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila
-- 5J 196/197 Manila-Cauayan-Manila
-- CebGo (DG) 6177/6178 Manila-Masbate-Manila
-- DG 6055/6056 Manila-Busuanga-Manila

Goring has maintained its strength, packing maximum sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph.

It was last tracked 125 km west southwest of Basco, Batanes and forecast to exit tonight or Thursday.

Tropical cyclone wind signals No. 2 and 1 remain hoisted over several areas in Northern Luzon.

Goring also enhances the southwest monsoon, which causes rains and gusty winds over parts of the country. (PNA)
