MANILA – Choco Mucho rolled to its fourth straight win at the expense of NXLED, 25-11, 25-20, 25-19, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference elimination round at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Tuesday.

Cherry Ann Rondina led the Flying Titans with 14 attacks, two blocks and 12 digs.

Lagi naman pinapaalala ni coach Dante [Alinsunurin] sa mga player na importante ‘yung sistema (Coach Dante [Alinsunurin] always reminds the players that the system is important),” Choco Mucho assistant coach Jessie Lopez said after the match.

We have to adjust to all situations, every set because the opponent is always different, the actions are different. That's where scouting comes in and coach [Dante] really makes us study who will be our next opponent)," Lopez further said.

Isa Molde had nine attacks while Katrina Mae Tolentino, Cherry Rose Nunag and Aduke Christine Ogunsanya chipped in six points each for the Flying Titans.

The NXLED Chameleons fought back in the third set, tying the score at 19-all, before Molde, Tolentino and Ogunsanya all scored to wrap up the match in one hour and 21 minutes

“I think things are really working for us – the system, teamwork and having each other’s back. Game by game, we’re getting there. But there’s still a lot to improve, to work on,” said Ma. Deanna Izabella Wong, who made 20 excellent sets.

Jhoana Maraguinot finished with 13 attacks, one service ace and 13 excellent receptions for NXLED, which dropped its fourth consecutive game.

Judith Abil had 11 attacks while Lycha Ebon and Victoria contributed six and four points, respectively.

Choco Mucho's next game will be against Akari on Nov. 11. (PNA)
