LEGAZPI CITY – Two members of the New People’s Army (NPA) wanted for several crimes were arrested during operations in Masbate province on Tuesday, the Police Regional Office 5 (Bicol) reported on Wednesday.
Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, PRO5 spokesperson, said alias Renan, and alias Leoncio, who are active NPA members operating in the province, were nabbed while in their homes in San Fernando town.
Police authorities nabbed Renan for multiple attempted murders through a warrant of arrest with PHP120,000 recommended bail.
Calubaquib said Renan is also the No. 7 municipal most wanted person in the town.
Meanwhile, San Fernando town police also nabbed Leoncio for multiple attempted murders.
"The two suspects were active members under the command of Eliseo Cabarles alias Kiko, Team Leader, Squad 2, Platoon 2, Larangan 1, Komite ng Probinsya 4," Calubaquib said. (PNA)
