MANILA – A huge part of the country will experience rain showers brought by two weather systems, the weather bureau said Monday.
The shear line will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Bicol Region and Region 4-B (Mimaropa).
On the other hand, the northeast monsoon will bring light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Quezon. It will also cause isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of Mindanao will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over Luzon and the eastern section of the Visayas.
Rough to very rough seas will prevail over the seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon, and the eastern seaboard of the Visayas.
PAGASA said sea travel is risky for small sea vessels and advised mariners of these vessels to remain in port.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
Meanwhile, PAGASA forecaster Obet Badrina said the bureau is no longer monitoring a low pressure area (LPA).
"The LPA that we were monitoring last week had dissipated yesterday," he said. (PNA)
