P3.4-M ‘shabu’ seized in Cavite

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Cavite and Pampanga confiscated suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP3.4 million, from a couple during a buy-bust in Trece Martires, Cavite on Tuesday night.

The suspects were identified as Aljune and Aida Mangulamnas, both residents of Block 184, Lot 25, Goldez Horizon Subdivision in Barangay Hugo Perez, Trece Martires.

They were apprehended while in the act of selling illegal drugs to an undercover agent in Barangay Hugo Perez.

Police seized from the suspects five knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing about 500 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP3.4 million and the marked money used by the undercover agent.

The couple was reportedly involved in the bulk distribution of shabu in Metro Manila and nearby towns in Bulacan.

Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were being prepared against the suspects. (PNA)
