MANILA – A Cyclone aircraft reportedly went missing after departing from Cauayan City Airport in Isabela on Thursday.

In a Facebook post, the Cagayan Provincial Information Office said the aircraft with tail number RP-C 1234 took off at 9:39 a.m., bound for Palanan Airport.

The aircraft, however, lost communication and the pilot could not be contacted.

Capt. Levy Abul and a passenger were on board the aircraft, the post said.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines did not respond to inquiries as of writing.

In January, an aircraft bound for Maconacon Airport also went missing in Isabela.

The plane's last contact with the control tower was minutes after it took off and while at the vicinity of Naguilan Bridge.

The plane's wreckage was found in Divilacan town in March. (PNA)
