MANILA – Two bridges in Mindanao have limited access to traffic due to minor damage from Saturday night's magnitude 7.4 earthquake that rocked Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

In its report as of 7 a.m. Monday, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said these are ABS-CBN-Quimpo Blvd. Road, Bolton Bridge 1 in Davao City, and the Tago - Gamut Bridge (left side) in Surigao del Sur.

The bridges are undergoing assessment due to quake-incurred damage (rebar exposure at the abutment).

The department said these bridges are passable to light vehicles only.

DPWH personnel have also been directed to identify alternate routes and install warning signs.

It added that post-earthquake assessments are also being conducted on other structures as well as buildings of the Department of Education and other government offices.

Meanwhile, other national roads and bridges in Davao Region and Caraga are passable to all types of vehicles. (PNA)
