LAOAG CITY – Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Joseph Manotoc wore his Santa hat on Thursday as he treated Capitol workers to a free lunch.

This has been an annual tradition for the governor, both as a Christmas and birthday treat. He is turning 35 years old on Dec. 9.

The free lunch program started when he was still a provincial board member of Ilocos Norte and has been carried out until now that he is governor.

Manotoc reassured the over 600,000 residents of Ilocos Norte that no one would go hungry in the province under his administration.

“As your governor, I want to let you know that I am here to support you in the best way I can,” he said. (PNA)
