46 drug suspects, wanted felons nabbed in 2-day police ops in Bulacan

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – A total of 46 law offenders were arrested in Bulacan during a two-day anti-criminality drive in various parts of the province from Monday to Tuesday morning.

In a statement, Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, said joint operatives of Meycauayan, Baliwag, Malolos, Sta. Maria, Plaridel, Bocaue, Provincial Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bulacan conducted an anti-illegal drug operation, which resulted in the arrest of 23 drug suspects.

Confiscated from the suspects were 55 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 25.7611 grams and standard drug price of PHP177,335, eight sachets of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated weight of 14.3 grams, assorted paraphernalia and buy-bust money.

"The operatives also seized a caliber .22 snub nose revolver with serial number 83952 and one caliber .38 revolver without serial number," Arnedo said.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated illegal drugs were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.

Meanwhile, Arnedo said manhunt operations were conducted by tracker teams from the Bulacan Philippine National Police (PNP), resulting in the arrest of 23 wanted persons in Meycauayan, Baliwag, Plaridel, San Rafael, Santa Maria, San Ildefonso, Pandi, Bocaue and Doña Remedios Trinidad.

The arrested accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit/station for proper disposition.

"The Bulacan PNP firmly and unwaveringly supports the initiatives and policies of Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., PRO3 regional director, as exemplified by their determined efforts to combat crime, persistent pursuit of unlawful individuals, and steadfast commitment to the anti-drug campaign," Arnedo said.
