MANILA – Two most wanted persons (MWPs) in Region 4B (Mimaropa) were arrested in a series of arrest warrant operations on Wednesday, the Police Regional Office 4B reported Thursday.
In a statement, PRO 4B director Brig. Gen. Roger Quesada said 53-year-old alias "Rosedil", tagged as Palawan’s most wanted person (MWP), was arrested during an operation in Brgy. Malaking Ilog, Balabac, Palawan.
"Rosedil" has standing arrest warrants for qualified statutory rape under Article 266-A Paragraph 1(A) of the Revised Penal Code.
Meanwhile, alias "Peter", listed as the second most wanted person was arrested at Barangay Poblacion 3, Coron, Palawan.
He was apprehended for a complaint of acts of lasciviousness in relation to Section 5 (B), Article III of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
Quesada said the arrested persons are now under police custody and will be turned over to issuing courts for proper disposition. (PNA)
