BAGUIO CITY – The Department of Trade and Industry-Cordillera Administrative Region (DTI-CAR) is encouraging owners of new businesses and prospective businesses to join the first batch of the “Kapatid Mentor Me-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) program starting March.

The KMME-MME is a program for Filipino entrepreneurs who intend to upscale their businesses with the aid of 10 modular online sessions to be handled by experts and stakeholders from major firms accredited by the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship.

Lawyer Samuel Gallardo, DTI-Cordillera assistant regional director, said in a phone interview on Tuesday that the program aims to prepare the entrepreneurs for their business plans or improve the systems of existing business enterprises.

“We have several business owners who attended the past programs which made them improve their businesses. This is good considering that businesses that improve are also job creators providing opportunities,” he said.

Based on DTI-CAR record, 98 mentees enrolled in the program in 2023, with all but two finishing the whole module.

KMME, a 10-module mentorship program, was first implemented in 2016. (PNA)
