Surigao leaders draw inspiration from Papal Nuncio’s visit

BUTUAN CITY – The visit of Most Rev. Charles John Brown, D.D., Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, to Surigao City, Surigao del Norte on Tuesday brought inspiration to local leaders to continue their commitment to quality public service.

In a statement, Mayor Pablo Yves Dumlao II said the Papal Nuncio's visit symbolized the strong bond between the church and the community.

He said it also reinforced the values of humility and selflessness in leadership.

Brown graced the commemoration of the 25th Episcopal Anniversary of Most Rev. Antonieto Cabajog, D.D., Bishop of Surigao.

Dumlao was accompanied by Surigao del Norte Governor Robert Lyndon Barbers and other top officials in welcoming the Papal Nuncio.

“Surigao City is honored to extend a warm welcome to Most Rev. Brown, the country’s Apostolic Nuncio, as he graces our community with his presence,” Dumlao said. (PNA)
