MANILA – Top favorite Worshipful Master of James Anthony Rabano ruled the 2024 Philracom 3YO Maiden Stakes at the Metroturf in Malvar, Batangas last Sunday.

The low profile-Pinay Pharaoh progeny bred by Herminio "Hermie" Esguerra and trained by Ruben Tupas left Primavera (top billing out of Lorinda) in the final 300 meters and crossed the pay-off wire by a clear four lengths ahead.

The bay colt's connections earned PHP720,000 while Primavera settled for the runner-up purse worth PHP240,000. Da Compulsive placed third followed by Regalberto.

Meanwhile, Pharaoh's Treasure, a progeny of American Pharaoh out of Namurian Sunset, won the Philracom Golden Anniversary and Japan Racing Association (JRA) Friendship event.

Speed Fantasy was second followed by Senshi Spirit and Bombay Nights.

Uichiro Miyamoto, representing JRA, joined Philracom chairman Reli de Leon in the awarding ceremony. (PNA)
