ILOILO CITY –An initial 10 remote barangays in the municipality of Lambunao, Iloilo province will benefit from the Super Health Center that will soon rise in Barangay Pasig.

Dr. Ma. Mercedes Ballarta, Lambunao health officer, said in an interview on Monday that the health center is expected to benefit Barangays Banban, Bayuco, Bonbon, Cabunlawan, Lumanay, Natividad, Cabatangan, Jayubo, Caninguan, and the host barangay of Pasig.

“It was the barangay we had identified (that is) far from the hospital or the town proper. And of course, we have a ready lot donated for the barangay health station,” Ballarta said.

The Super Health Center is funded PHP10 million by the Department of Health-Health Facilities Enhancement Program 2023 budget, with an additional PHP2 million for equipment.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held March 22 and the facility is eyed for completion in 120 days. (PNA)
