Oil price adjustments set April 2

MANILA – Oil firms will adjust prices of petroleum products starting 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2.

In separate announcements, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petro Gazz, PTT, Seaoil, and Shell said they will increase gasoline prices by PHP0.45 per liter and slash diesel prices by PHP0.60 per liter.

Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will also cut kerosene prices by PHP1.05 per liter.

Other oil firms are expected to follow suit.

During the Holy Week, firms implemented hefty price hikes as much as PHP2.20 per liter for gasoline, while diesel and kerosene prices also increased by PHP1.40 and PHP1.30 per liter.

“Year-to-date adjustment of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene stand at a per liter net increase of PHP7.75, PHP5.10 and PHP1.05, respectively,” the Department of Energy (DOE) said.

Meanwhile, prices of some liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products were rolled back on Monday.

Petron slashed its LPG prices by PHP1 per kilogram, while Regasco had a rollback of PHP0.30 per kilogram.

These price adjustments reflected a decline of PHP3.30 to PHP11 for an 11-kilogram household LPG cylinder. (PNA)
