KORONADAL CITY – Police authorities in General Santos City arrested a suspected female drug peddler and seized from her more than PHP1.3 million worth of “shabu,” an official said Thursday.
In a report, Brig. Gen. Percival Augustus Placer, regional police director for the Soccsksargen Region, identified the arrested suspect as “Arlene,” 27, of Barangay Fatima in the city.
“She was immediately arrested after she handed over the illegal stuff to the police poseur-buyer and accepted the PHP1,000 buy-bust money,” Placer said, referring to the 3 p.m. entrapment along Banisil Extension, Barangay Dadiangas West.
Following the arrest, a subsequent search of the suspect’s belongings led to the seizure of two large plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 200 grams.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022, were filed against the suspect. (PNA)
