Mimaropa cops nab Palawan's 2 most wanted, 4 others

MANILA – Members of the Police Regional Office 4B (Mimaropa) nabbed two of Palawan province's most wanted persons (MWP) and four others in separate operations on Sunday.

In a statement on Monday, PRO 4B director Brig. Gen. Roger Quesada said 39-year-old alias "Joseph", tagged as Palawan's number one MWP was apprehended in an operation in Barangay San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City.

"Joseph" is wanted by a Puerto Princesa City court for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, PRO 4B personnel also apprehended 26-year-old “Mark Angelo", listed as the ninth most wanted person in Narra town, in Barangay Luzviminda, Puerto Princesa City. He is wanted for robbery with a recommended bail of PHP48,000.

Meanwhile, four other wanted persons were apprehended for various charges -- "Marlo", 22, for violation of Presidential Decree (PD) 705 in relation to RA 7161 or the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines; "Rey John", 24, for violation of PD 499 in relation to PD 1602 (illegal gambling) as amended; “Jerick”, 29, for robbery and "Daniel", 50, for violation of RA 9165.

Quesada said the arrested suspects would be turned over to the issuing courts for proper disposition. (PNA)
