MANILA – Cignal will try to sustain its momentum when it tangles with VNS-Nasty on Wednesday in the Spikers’ Turf Open Conference at the Paco Arena in Manila.

The HD Spikers are on a roll, winning six straight matches, the last one over the D'Navigators, 21-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-19, 15-7 on April 14.

Joshua Umandal is expected to continue his brilliant showing when the HD Spikers meet the Griffins, sporting a 2-4 slate, at 6 p.m.

Cignal coach Dexter Clamor underscored the need to sweep their last two games to boost the team's confidence.

Yung last two games namin, syempre kailangan namin manalo para mataas ang momentum namin, mataas ang kumpyansa namin going to the semifinals (Our last two games, of course we have to win so that our momentum is high, our confidence is high going to the semifinals),” Clamor said.

Cignal will face Maverick (1-5) on Friday.

Meanwhile, D’Navigators hopes to bounce back from a two-game slump against RichMarc Sports 3B at 4 p.m.

D'Navigators will bank on Francis Philip Saura and Edward Camposano, who registered double-digit scores in their 2-3 loss to Cignal.

The Elite Spikers are winless in seven outings. (PNA)
