ILOILO CITY – Presidential Adviser on Military and Police Affairs Secretary Roman Felix urged the military and the police to remain steadfast in ensuring the stability of the present administration.

Felix made the call as he served as the guest of honor and speaker during the flag-raising and awarding ceremonies of the Police Regional Office 6(PRO6) at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City on Monday.

Felix said he needed to “overemphasize” that the loyalty of the military and the police to the chain of command must be at all times “unconditional and unwavering”.

“Let us remain steadfast and resolute in ensuring the political stability of the PBBM administration. And let us affirm the duly constituted authorities at all times,” he added.

During the ceremony, he awarded the Medalya ng Kadakilaan to Capt. Ryan Christ C. Inot of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Major Kenneth Jay Gratones for their accomplishment in the anti-drugs campaign, Medalya ng Kagalingan to Capt. Gelbert Batiles for implementing an arrest warrant against the region’s number 1 most wanted person, and Medalya ng Papuri to Capt. Felimon D. Espinosa for the anti-illegal fishing campaign.

He also awarded the Medalya ng Kadakilaan Posthumous Award to Corporal Reo Nograles Manero, who died while doing a casing against a drug personality. The award was received by Manero’s wife, Aiza.

The secretary also awarded certificates of appreciation to other partners of the Philippine National Police on law enforcement.

Felix also joined PRO 6 director Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky in a tree-planting activity at the regional headquarters ground where he planted a mabolo tree. (PNA)
