COTABATO CITY – Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) seized suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP13.6 million in Lanao del Sur and Maguindanao del Norte provinces on Wednesday.
PDEA-BARMM Director Gil Cesario Castro said in Lanao del Sur, suspected shabu, valued at PHP6.8 million, was seized from a lone drug peddler who sold the illegal stuff to an undercover agent in Barangay Biaba-Damag, Marawi City at 6 p.m.
“We recovered and confiscated 10 pieces of small plastic bags containing shabu weighing about 1,000 grams,” Castro said in a statement Thursday.
He identified the arrested suspect as Alpatan Tomawis Abdulaziz, 33, of Barangay Lamin, Lumbayanague, Lanao del Sur.
In a separate anti-drug operation, PDEA agents also seized the same amount of suspected shabu from three men who sold the illegal stuff to a poseur buyer in Barangay Tamontaka, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte at past 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The three, identified as Kison Sakili, Samsoden Kali Gandal, and Faisal Saripada Darapa, were immediately arrested after the handover beside the highway in Barangay Tamontaka.
All the arrested suspects are currently detained at the PDEA-BARMM detention facility in this city. (PNA)
