Over P1-M shabu seized from 4 drug traders in Bulacan, Pampanga

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Four suspected drug traders were apprehended in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Bulacan and Pampanga on Wednesday.

In a statement on Thursday, Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., PRO3 regional director, said the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Balagtas Municipal Police Station (MPS) carried out a buy-bust operation in Barangay Wawa which resulted in the arrest of alias "Jaco," a 23-year-old  construction worker, and alias “Tin”, a 38-year-old businesswoman.

Seized from the duo were 100 grams of suspected shabu with standard drug price of PHP680,000.

Another anti-illegal drug operation was launched in Barangay San Jose, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, resulting in the arrest of alias “Rabho,” a 45-year-old welder, and alias “Fredo,” a 49-year-old driver, both residents of Barangay Lourdes Lauc Pao, Lubao, Pampanga.

The operation, led by the Pampanga Provincial Police Office (PPO) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3, seized 55 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of PHP374,000.

The arrested suspects are facing appropriate charges for violation of Sec. 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (PNA)
