'King of the Road' no more!

If the planned jeepney phaseout pushes through mid-August next year, the iconic commuter jeepneys often referred to as "Kings of the Road" will gradually disappear from Metro Manila's main thoroughfares. This is the reason why jeepney drivers and operators are now staging a series of transport strikes to stop the Department of Transportation from implementing said phaseout.
