President Duterte leads inauguration of PTV Cordillera Hub in Baguio City

President Rodrigo Duterte encourages the people to make use of the government's information facilities in helping curb graft and corruption in government; crimes against the people and the proliferation of illegal drugs in his speech during the inauguration of the People's Television (PTV) Cordillera Hub in Baguio City on Saturday (March 11, 2017). These, he said, are the issues he promised to be eradicated under his administration which may be accomplished through the 8888 hotline program aired over PTV4 and anchored by Presidential Legal Counsel lawyer Salvador Panelo (2nd from right). The President also said that PTV programming will be patterned after the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and directed PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar (right) and the PTV administrators to draft the guidelines to implement a BBC programming format.
