ON BOARD THE 'CHANG CHUN': Pres. Duterte visits Chinese Navy flagship destroyer

President Rodrigo Duterte is welcomed on board the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) flagship destroyer ‘Chang Chun’ by Chinese PLAN Commander and Political Commissar Adm. Miao Hua, 'Chang Chun' Commander Rear Adm. Shen Hao and Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua on Monday (May 1, 2017). The President, accompanied by Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff Gen. Eduardo Año, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Philippine Navy Commander Vice Adm. Ronald Mercado, was given a tour of the vessel, giving him a chance to observe its armaments, the deck, the bridge navigation system as well as the operations room command and control system.
