PRESIDENT DUTERTE VISITS PEOPLE'S LIBERATION ARMY NAVY (PLAN) FLAGSHIP DESTROYER ‘CHANG CHUN’

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visits People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) Flagship Destroyer ‘Chang Chun’ which is docked at the Sasa Port in Davao City on May 1, 2017 for a goodwill visit to the Philippines. Accompanying the President in his trip to the Chinese PLAN’s vessel are Staff Lt. Gen. Eduardo Año, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Philippine Navy Commander Vice Admiral Ronald Mercado. Welcoming the President, meanwhile, are Chinese PLAN Commander and Political Commissar Admiral Miao Hua, Chinese PLAN Task Group (PTG) Navy Vessel Destroyer 'Chang Chun' Commander Rear Admiral Shen Hao and Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua. The President was given a tour inside the Chinese Vessel Chang Chun where he was able to see the armaments, the deck, the bridge navigation system as well as the operations room command and control system.
