PRRD arrives for Belt and Road Forum in Beijing, China

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was given a red carpet treatment upon his arrival at the Beijing Capital International Airport in the People's Republic of China (PROC) on May 13, 2017 for his attendance to the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The President is among the 29 heads of state and government leaders in the two-day forum. President Duterte was invited by People's Republic of China President Xi Jinping to attend the two-day forum. His attendance to the forum aims to foster strong economic ties with China and the rest of the participating countries. Upon his arrival, the President was given a warm welcome by Beijing government officials led by Chinese Counsellor He Rulong, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippine Zhao Jianhua including Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Santiago Sta.
