FILIPINO WORLD WAR II HEROES. Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) Administrator Ernesto Carolina says the awarding of the US Congressional Gold Medal to 40 Filipino World War II veterans (living and posthumously) is "a timely and admirable way of memorializing their heroism and gallantry" during the awarding held at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on Monday (June 10, 2019).
