CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- A total of 1,657 newly-promoted police personnel in Central Luzon took their oath at the Police Regional Office 3 parade grounds here on Wednesday.

Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), administered the oath-taking and mass pinning of the newly promoted 95 police commissioned officers and 1,562 police non-commissioned officers, witnessed by their families and relatives.

Corpus, in his message, said that promotion is not a reward of what was done well, but recognition that each police personnel has the potential to do more.

He warned the newly-promoted police personnel to stay away from doing nefarious activities as they carry on their fight on illegal drugs, illegal gambling and all forms of lawlessness.

"I warn each and every one of you to stay away from doing nefarious activities as I am quick to impose upon you an appropriate punishment if you are found linked to crimes. I will not tolerate any one of you for violating our laws, as you are not worthy to wear our uniform and you should be removed from our ranks. I am serious about this. All I simply ask from you is to do your job effectively and efficiently and you will be rewarded and supported by my leadership,” Corpus said. (PNA)
