BACOOR CITY, Cavite – Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla bagged anew the "Most Outstanding Mayor Award" for 2018, her second feat for two consecutive years, from the award-giving body Superbrands Marketing International Inc. (SMI).
Revilla received the award from SMI Chair Karl Maclean; president and CEO Harry Tambuatco; and Managing Director Larry Brouhard during the ceremony Wednesday in Makati City.
The Superbrands award calls for excellence in governance, honoring outstanding individuals in the field of politics.
Revilla was a recipient of the same award in March 2017 and in an earlier achievement plum also from SMI which honored her for her Congress legislative works while serving as Cavite Representative for four consecutive years.
Superbrands Marketing Inc. recognizes products and elevates them to the rankings of brand excellence including its category in politics and governance.
As the world’s largest independent arbiter of branding with programs in more than 90 countries, the Superbrands citation pays tribute to mayors who display goodwill, transparency and accountability, social responsibility program, environmental thrust and national competitiveness.
The Superbrands award seal cited Revilla’s initiatives such as her “Alagang Ate Lani” program that has earned the trust and respect by her constituents and contemporaries in the field .
The Superbrands council is composed of luminaries from public relations, civic and institutional organizations being part of the international standard of brands and services category worldwide.
