CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- A police officer and two of his cohorts were apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, this province on Friday.
Senior Supt. Nicolas Salvador, Pampanga Police acting provincial director, identified the arrested suspect as PO1 Kevin Pierre Apostol, 29, of Barangay Dau and presently assigned at Arayat Police Station; Angel Pabilonia, 39; and Donato Felipe, 22; also residents of said barangay.
Mabalacat City police conducted an anti-illegal drug operation against the arrested suspects at Pineda Subdivision in Barangay Dau.
During the operation, Apostol identified himself as member of Philippine National Police (PNP), Salvador said.
Confiscated from the suspects were nine sachets of suspected “shabu”, PHP500 marked money; PNP-issued unit of Glock 17 Generation 4 9mm pistol with two magazines loaded with 18 live ammunition.
The three suspects were temporarily detained at the Mabalacat City Police Station while appropriate charges for drug possession and violation of election gun ban are being readied against them. (PNA)
