LPA to bring rains over E. Visayas, Mindanao: PAGASA

MANILA—The low pressure area (LPA) embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring heavy rains over parts of Mindanao Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 24-hour forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was estimated at 655 kilometers east of Surigao City Monday.

Pagasa said Eastern Visayas and Caraga will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms caused by the LPA, which may develop into a cyclone this week or early next week.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have warm and humid weather apart from isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

Palawan, Bicol Region and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ.

Temperature in Metro Manila is still warm and humid at 25-33 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 26-35 degrees Celsius; Baguio 17-25 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 25-34 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 23-34 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 23-32 degrees Celsius and Metro Davao 26-33 degrees Celsius.
