Rain showers over PH Tuesday: PAGASA

MANILA—The low pressure area (LPA) embedded in the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ)will bring occasional heavy rains in most areas in the country Tuesday.

State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was last observed at 795 kilometers east of Surigao City in Surigao del Norte province.

Eastern and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms caused by the LPA.

Bicol Region, Western Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Temperature in Metro Manila today will range from 26-34 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 24-35 degrees Celsius; Baguio 17-25 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 23-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 26-33 degrees Celsius. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
