MANILA -- Heavy rains in Metro Manila prompted the Philippines Football League to put to hold the ongoing match between Davao Aguilas and Kaya Iloilo at the Rizal Memorial Stadium here Wednesday.

The game started despite the inclement weather, with Davao even drawing first blood in the 25th minute with a Kim Sung-Min goal.

However, match officials decided to halt the game shortly after the goal.

A little more than an hour later, seeing that the weather has become better, the officials decided to continue the match.

A Robert Mendy goal at stoppage time put Iloilo on the board and forced a 1-all deadlock at the half. The second half was ongoing as of posting. (PNA)
