MANILA -- The trough of Typhoon Rosita affecting southern Luzon and eastern Visayas will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region and eastern Visayas on Monday, the weather bureau said.

Rosita was last eyed 760 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan, or 750 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Sunday afternoon.

The typhoon has maximum sustained winds of up to 200 km per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 245 kph, heading west at 20 kph.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon affecting northern and central Luzon will continue to bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Ilocos Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over central Luzon.

Localized thunderstorms, on the other hand, will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said. (PNA)
