Magnitude 3.6 quake jolts Sarangani

MANILA -- A magnitude 3.6 earthquake was recorded 118 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The quake of tectonic origin had a depth of 88 km.

Phivolcs is not expecting damages or aftershocks from this magnitude 3.6 quake.

There were no reported intensities in the area, Philvolcs added.

Meanwhile, Phivolcs is also not expecting damages and aftershocks from the magnitude 4.2 quake that jolted Surigao Del Norte on Tuesday morning.

There were also no reported intensities from the magnitude 4.2 quake that struck some 29 km northeast of General Luna, Surigao Del Norte.

The quake of tectonic origin had a depth of 14 km, Phivolcs said. (PNA)
